Spring for joy...RH Baby&Child

I so love it when new magazines or catalogs come in the mail. Especially for the spring after what seemed like such a long winter...so inspiring. The new Restoration Hardware Baby&Child is amazing....sigh..if I didn't have a budget my kids rooms and playroom would be decked out! Check out some of my favs!

Spring has sprung

I heard the birds this weekend, I could smell the clean fresh air and finally the sun came out. This weekend felt like spring is finally here! This winter seemed to drag on and on.... I'm looking forward to more fun afternoons in the park with my babies:)

Spring also means shopping! I can fit into my pre pregnant jeans again!! Yahoo!! Bootcamp is paying off :) I have gone through my clothes and donated my "bar star" tops, big jeans, and clothes I have ruined when I was pregnant. I'm excited finally I can buy white linen pants with a cute spring top and a pair of flats....


Ok one more picture of Gavin..he loves the jolly jumper...can't believe he is almost 6 months. My last baby is growing up so fast. I just love him!

Felt: it's cheap, easy to cut, easy to work with and comes in a rainbow of colours! I'm currently having fun with all my felt projects I thought I would share some of them. Hopefully you will be inspired and want to try a few!

I'm slowly getting better..I've been hit with the flu/cold again.. not fun. Thankfully my mother in law took Olivia for a few days so I can get better! Time for soup and tea. 

Score at the dollar store.

I went to check out our new local Dollar store today with the kids and to my shock I found Method Baby! I  have been using these products now for years but the baby line is very hard to find.. It worked wonders on Olivia and her skin but I haven't been able to find it for Gavin...not even in the States..but today SCORE!!! At the dollar store for $1.50!!! No joke...this stuff is amazing! It is 99% Natural and gentle on baby. Cutest part is the lid on the baby shampoo does double duty as a handy rinsing cup. So hopefully changing Gavin over to this hypoallergenic product and starting probiotics (thanks Michele!!) will help his skin. www.methodhome.com 


Oh and I love opening the mail box to find my etsy orders!! Gavin's robot booties came and they are oh so cute. I highly recommend the product and the seller...littlejumpingbeans. 


Have you been to Starbucks lately?? They have cake pops now!!! I am so making these for my sister's baby shower. They will look so darling with the display.  Tomorrow they are giving free ones between 2-5pm when you buy a drink....so go grab one...I know I will again... xo 

Little Birdie Baby Shower

Yahoo baby shower time!!! I love hosting parties...The baking, the decorating, the crafts...so fun. I love to put my inner Martha to use. I knew I wanted to do a bird theme for my sisters shower and I started writing ideas in my book a few months ago now. I was browsing etsy of course and I found this super cute shop that had amazing ideas. I ordered this wonderful diy printable pack from the shop. Look at how beautiful that display is! So inspiring and the best part is my house is already full of birds! ( I kind of that a thing) Now I need to hunt for a few bird cages to complete the look. Check out all the pictures here! 

I have already spray painted two wooden birdhouses from Micheals in white for the table decor. 
I have also started making a felt ruffle wreath to hang on the wall instead of the oval frame. I think the wreath is beautiful...bonus: I can display it in my house after :)

Ready for Spring

I feel like a brown bear in full hibernation mode..... seriously I'm ready to come out of this cave!!  This weather has me wishing I lived in California or Hawaii or at least going on a 2 week vacation. Since that won't be happening any time soon I'll stay in my cozy home and catch up on my list of projects. My yarn wreath is coming along nicely...I'm wrapping my yarn like crazy at night when the kiddies go to bed...Almost finished!!! 


Another project I finished was a flower bib necklace for Olivia. I actually used a needle and thread to make the flowers! (yeah me!!) I can now say that I sewed something.....yes even the small things do count. I used fabric, ribbon and buttons from around the house and one afternoon put it all together! Little miss O will be wearing her necklace for something very special....details to come.  

Lastly I am getting ready to plant my herb garden that will sit on my window sill. I have ordered some basil which I LOVE from my girlfriends greenhouse check it out here.  I'm pretty sure you can order some too! I had this flower pot hanging around the house.... I believe it is from Ikea....Found some cute crafting stickers....put the two together and volia!

As I am finishing off this post the snow is starting to fall again....
Time to get dinner ready..I'm thinking something that warms the soul..like my mamas homemade meatballs and pineapples served with rice. So yummy. xo
