The Perfect Monday..

Today turned out to such a beautiful day; a great way to end the weekend. I wanted to head to Antique Alley in New West but my kids slept in and I decided it was to late to go. Instead we went to an even better place...Granny and Grumpas. They have been in my life since I was 10 and are two of the most generous and loving people I know. Growing up with them just across the field was the best! I have many memories at their place and now I want my kids to as well. Granny and Grumpa collect antiques and got me started when I was young. So I love looking through the barns...I could spend hours! Olivia loves being there jumping on the trampoline, riding the vintage merry -go- round, and playing with all the toys. Gavin gives Granny many smiles and laughs he's such a ham! Here's to a beautiful day with loving people in my life!

I am planning on going to Antique Alley in New Westminster on monday. Can't wait to take the kids and hunt for treasures...making the old new again. 

Paper Airplane Mobile

I love a good DIY project!! Especially when its for my kids and I've been looking for the perfect mobile for Gavin's nursery ( its only taken 7 months) I saw this really beautiful one and thought I could do that but I wanted to simplify it. All you need is a wooden embroidery hoop, string or thread and paper. You can use vintage comic books, old maps, wrapping paper, or cardstock...whichever fits your taste and design. 

Gavin loves looking at the airplanes so I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!! xo

We love the outdoors!

I love this weather, this time of the year...the sun is coming out beaming its light on my back deck! Titan loves sleeping in the rays and Olivia loves to play for hours! So the garden is half planted, the pruning is done for now and the grass is a bright green. I am looking forward to more days at the park, afternoons in the yard, late night fires, and getting my hands in the dirt! After all I am a farm girl at heart...

I hope all you beautiful mamas had a great mother's day! I had a wonderful day with all my loved ones. To my mom...I missed you more than words can describe. You have taught me everything and I try everyday to be the best mom...to make you proud. I will always remember your smile, your touch, your words of wisdom and I will keep your memory alive. I love you.

Rain boot garden

How smart is this?

April showers bring May flowers...I just love getting back into the garden and how wonderful are these? Such a cute idea...I can't get over it! I'm going to the local MCC tomorrow to see if I can find any rubber boots there. Found here. I also found these large colourful metal drink containers at Superstore that I will make into planters. Happy May hopefully the sun is here to stay!


My header is a mess.....will fix tomorrow
