ballerina

Pretty sure this is just going to be a ballerina cuteness overload. I seriously couldn't get enough of that ballerina bun. Olivia just looked so grown up and adorable I couldn't help myself. After class photos we grabbed an ice cream cone, the sun was shining and off we went. Inspired by this post we found the field of purple flowers. With the bun still intact (fyi I was watching youtube videos this morning on how to do one) we headed into the field and this is what the afternoon looked like. 

Oh little girl mama loves you so! I am so proud of you & I'm pretty sure you have the teeniest tiniest ballerina bun ever. 

mamas love

nothing better then that right? there is something about a mother's love that you can't describe. only feel.  if I close my eyes and squeeze very tight i can still see my mom. her kind eyes. her warm smile. her love. i feel it. i miss it. i know i can never really feel it again but i do know that i am blessed. blessed to have had such a great mom. blessed with two beautiful babies that i can now show "a mamas love" too. i try everyday as much as i can. through the good days and the bad days to show my babies love. because sometimes love is all we need. 


 My dear friend michele from michele sarah photography did some spring photos for me. I wanted just the kids done but after seeing a few photos on pinterest i had to get some with my littles. I am so glad I did. this was the best mother's day gift. I always think how fun it will be when my kids are older... they can look back at the photos and see the memories we made. plus I get to add new art to all these bare walls :) thank you again michele you truly captured the love i have and feel for my kids. I know my mama would be proud. she already was... xoxo

House update-moved in!!

The day finally came. We are moved into our new home. (well about a month ago now) Slowly starting to get all the rooms set up and decorated but I know it will take time. I have been trying to do one room at a time instead of overwhelming myself with the whole house at once. Kids room and playrooms are starting to come along and I will be sure to post them when they are complete. Thinking Michele Sarah Photography should come and take photos ;)

House update

This post is going to have to be short. I've been wanting to update the pictures here for about 2 weeks now but I just can't find the time... packing and cleaning are just taking over everything else. We are at the end I can see the finish line...almost time to cross it and start making this house our home :)

My project tomorrow-covering the seats in my new fabric. I should be able to do it...right?!

This is the fabric I chose from fabric.com. I am so loving the dandelions on it. I also picked out the white background with large grey dandelions. (use on my window seat in the living room) 

Just as an example of the craziness just as I was about to publish this post (for the 3rd time) Kris called and said our carpet got lost in shipment (ahhhh!) I had to run down to the store and hopefully like the only kind of carpet they were able to get that came close to the one I had originally picked. Thankfully it looked amazing and we can have carpet installed tomorrow! The house has really changed since these photos. So the next post I do will be right before we move it :) 


So I am re heating my coffee from this morning and I have half an hour before the new owners are coming to take one last peek at the house before they move in. Back to cleaning!  

Picnic in the park

I know its March. I know its still very cold but the sun was out today! I feel like I haven't seen the sun in weeks. I just had to get out. After reading Kelle Hampton's post she really inspired me to just get out and do it.  Hubby was working at the house and meeting his friends after so I packed up my buddies and took off.  I needed a break from all this packing chaos in my house anyways. Two runny noses and two sets of cold hands but we sure had fun :)

Little busy bee

I have a house update as well to do. Maybe this weekend I'll finish it. Can it be the end of March already? Wow time sure flies....
Things are really moving along and hopefully the house will be done before the move. I'm really excited to see all the finishing touches come together. 
Tonight is date night with hubby...it will be good for him to get away from the house for a lovely dinner. The sun is shining what else can be better? Have a great weekend :)
